If you go to System in the Control Panel then go to Hard Ware Device
Manager you should be able to find the ADS device listed. If you uninstall
it and then reboot usually they do a reinstall process which often fixes the
problem. These devices and scanners have been the most problematic for me
and often have been known to go wonky even when working properly before. The
world of digital video editing is not free from bugs despite what the
marketing would suggest. A bit of patience and entry level computer trouble
shooting is still required IMHO. I would also say best to contact the ADS
tech service by phone as they could walk you through some trouble shooting
which would be better than anything I could do by email,

Subject: Re: [AP] converting 8mm question

David~

Thanks for your response. The ADSTech device has the RCA/S Video
inputs and the firewire on the other side. Currently, we have the
RCA Video and one audio input connected to the camera. The firewire
is connected to the computer. So, I guess this would be the
something needed between our camera and computer. I did check the
project settings and it has been on DV capture. And yes, we have
Premier elements 2.0 for capture.

Thanks again, David. I hope you can understand my non-technical
descriptions....

Becky
