Hello Phil,
I don't think that the index markers will transfer as chapter points in avi
output.
To make it work you must name the index markers and output using the Matrox
Realtime export to disk as an m2v and uncompressed wav.
Doing this should also make your workflow faster as Encore does not have to
transcode the avi file to mpg but just uses the m2v as is.
When you bring an m2v and uncompressed wav file into Encore you will see
that the show the m2v as not needing transcoding in the project window. It
will transcode the wav file but this is fast compared to transcoding an avi
file.
Your second question about Encore output to your External Program
monitor...this was shown in the release notes as no longer being supported
in Encore with the RTX100 6157drivers for Encore 2.0
It will still show up on the preview monitor in the program just not on an
external NTSC Monitor.
Regards,
Richard Peoples

Subject: [AP] Exporting Chapter markers Prem Pro 2 to Encore 2
Is it possible to render a final Matrox RTX avi to import into Encore &
retain the chapter markers?
I have named the chapter points on the timeline (1-19), but the compile
settings box is greyed out for the Matrox.
I am running Prem Pro 2 with the Matrox RTX100 having upgraded from
Prem Pro 1.5 (which also didn't do it!)
Any help would be greatly appreciated as it takes a lot of time
manually transferring the code to Encore, but then again, to render out
as a Microsoft DVAVI with chapters takes up to 5 times longer!
Phil B
