Hey folks, I recently...as in today...purchased an HDV Sony
camcorder. Firewire control, capture and all that works perfectly.
The quality of the image is just amazing. But I run into a problem
when I try and place a dissolve or any type of transition onto HDV
footage.

In case any of you remember my name I did have some trouble with
transitions on regular DV footage and having dissolves show bits of
footage that was no longer there in it's transition. Forgive me for
not remembering who, but someone on here showed me a way around that
problem and it works very well. Playing with the opacity and
basically creating my own dissolve.

But with HDV the transition doesn't show up at all. I place it over
the two clips, and I render it out. But it doesn't even attempt to
dissolve. Just hard cuts to the next clip. It's not a video card
problem as I have 2 7900 GT's. Nor is it a processing or RAM problem
because I have a dual core 3.2 Ghz processor and 2 gigs of RAM and
hope to be adding another gig soon.

Any ideas ?
