An m2v file is simply an MPEG2 file with no audio. If Encore allows you to choose seperate files for the MPEG2 and audio streams, change the m2v extention to mpg. If Encore doesn't grok MPEG without audio, look for a utility to multiplex or mux the streams together into an MPEG2 file with the audio. NTSC DVD format requires the audio to be either Dolby Digital AC3 or uncompressed PCM format. You can use both, typically using PCM for plain stereo and AC3 for multichannel. (But that eats up space better used for higher quality video.) MPEG audio is supported by almost every NTSC DVD player but it's not an official part of the standard.
