Check your preferences and make sure it is not trying to play the audio out via an attached DV device, like a DV camera. (Project > Settings > General > Playback Settings.) If the audio is set to desktop audio, the next step is to import the old project into a new project. That has been known to clear up many an issue. (But just make sure the new project's audio settings are set to play to your desktop audio instead of the DV camera, as I described above.)

Everything works fine after saving the project, but after closing the project and reopening no sound in nested sequence. I can see the audio track but no sound. I don't see anything in help files about audio in nested sequences. If I export project to dvd before closing everything is ok on dvd. Someone please help.
