If not mistaken, gs120 is those small 3ccd camera right? Should be able to
record vhs to miniDV via the RCA jacked cables (the one that comes with the
camera, that has 3 RCA jack - yellow, red, black colored, to a headphone
sized connector, plug that connector (the headphone sized) into the camera's
A/V input, and plug the other end into the vhs out, then go to menu and set
the DV->OUT to DV->IN (you probably don't have to do that but to be safe).

Make sure the gs120 is set for vcr mode not shooting mode or web mode.

You should be able to see the video playing from the vhs tape on the minidv
camcorder's viewfinder, then press RECORD.

TO use computer to gs120, the software (for video editing) should provide
you with output to tape option to record the video into the gs120 via
firewire port (cable as well)

I have a gs70 and it works fine and I've taped vhs to gs70 and such without
problem.

I've a Panasonic GS120, and as of yet I haven't found a way to record
from a device (VHS or computer) onto a tape. Someone else here posted
such an issue, but the suggestions he/she received I've tried to no
avail. Thank you for the suggestion though. If I find a way to get it
to do this, I certainly would like to use this solution -- then my
tight student budget would allow me peanut butter AND ramen noodles!
