in the window " where is the file", you can click chose file button, and direct
it to the file that missing.

or you can right click on the file that appears "off line" and choose link
to...and direct it to the right file.

it became a big deal when you use external hard disk, you must assure it that
the disc prompt is same. When in school called E:/ so in home it must called
E:/ too

hope it helps

Subject: [AP] 'where is the file ... '

dear all,

Unfortunately I couldn't find my answer using the search-option in this
group. I have a simple question for you, I'm sure you have had before.

I have totally forgotten what to do when I open an existing project but
premiere asks me 'where is the file ... '. The case is that in school a
external harddisk is plugged in as 'station E' while at home it is
called 'station F'. I know I only need to direct premiere to a single
file and premiere will then smartly find all of them. But how do I
direct premiere to this one file? I just totally forgot how to fix
this. Would anyone be so kind to teach me step-by-step?

Thanks a lot for helping me out.

Greetings, Daan Luijkx.
