Hi Eddie. I'm somewhat confused. You say that you have a new computer, but you then go on to say that you've been running the same equipment and software for 5 years! Which is it?
If it's a 5 year old computer with new parts in it, I'd start suspecting those, especially a new graphics card - try putting the old one back. Have you tried running anything else that's processor and memory intensive, perhaps a free benchmark tester? If it shuts down with other programs, it could be an overheating problem, maybe the processor fan or even PSU. What is probably more likely is that you have a memory problem which only appears when memory gets fully used and therefore hot, as in video capturing. If it's only with PPro1.5 then it's likely PPro hasn't installed properly or it's just got corrupted. I can only suggest a complete removal and re-install.
