Hi group!
I asked a question about keying in Premiere CS3 some weeks ago. I had just
invested in a Litering kit and I promised you a review.

The product comes in a real nice bag wich holds the power supply and the
litering itself. You need the proper adapter for your lens-size. I use Sony
HVR-Z1 so I picked up the 72mm lens adapter. The Litering itself is then
attached to this adapter. It sits firmly and at no time was I worried it
would fall of. The power supply is a neat small black box that you attach
with an XLR-power adapter.

Well, now for the Reflecmedia itself. I picked up the 2.1x2.1m size. It is
really big. It folds out in the same manner as any other reflector, but I
actually had to download the manual (surprisingly the kit didn't include a
manual) to figure out how to re-fold it. My girlfriend got a big laugh out
of that (I have it here at my home-studio). The quality of the reflecmedia
is impressive. I would not hesitate putting a heavy object on it.

Now for the complete experience. I used a single 600w light from Ianiro to
light up the room. I bounced the light of the ceiling to get a even and
"rough, on location" look. The reason that I picked up the kit was to be
able to key anywhere, anyone (indoors of course). I used a camera-mounted
Paglite (C6) to get a even light on the person (which of course was me..)

I got a really even key. The object had to stand a couple of meters away
from the reclemedia, but it is so easy to use that it really astonished me.
The reflecmedia can be in any angle, you do not have to hang it vertically
on the wall. I simply leaned it against the wall and it worked well. And
most important of all, I got no green bleed back on the object.

But the most painful part was of course the post itself. I do not know if i
applied the wrong effect in Premiere CS3 but I have to admit that it sucked
monkeyballs. Then I tried (after most valued member Schell's advice) Ultra
CS3. And it worked like a charm! Instant keying with lots of options.

So to sum it all up, are you going serious with on-location keying. pick up
a lite ring and a proper size (do not go too big it you are not going
full-body keys) reflecmedia and get cracking. It will surely impress your
customers.

I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have.
