I have a Sony Hi-8 Computer Video Deck CVD-1000 that I purchased several
years ago, before Digital 8 came out. I send my old Hi-8 images to the
computer a Martox X-100 card using S-video.

I have looked for software to use the computer to control the deck but
have not had much luck. I just start the record process and then hit
play and stop when I have the scene I want. It is a little slow but I
can always trim the clips in AP.

Hope this helps.
