CS3 on XP Pro SP2
What do I have to do to make this software use MP3 for
the audio track? (Yes, the PC plays MP3 just fine in
Media Player, Winamp and anything else that can play
audio *except* PP3.)
I have an XviD encoded AVI with an MP3 audio track
that I want to do (what should be) the simple process
of converting to widescreen DVD format MPEG2- and
correct the framerate.
I had to install the XviD codec (included in the
Combined Community Codec Pack) for it to recognize
that the file had video. Before that it insisted the
AVI was an audio file, but of course wouldn't play it.
After installing the codec pack, it plays the video
fine, smooth just as if it was a multi-gig
uncompressed stream. (Plus points for that, minus big
points for not supporting MP3 audio right out of the box!)
