Hi
This is not a serious problem. It is common feature in any camcoder recording
which has surrounding mic. You can not only increase the amplitude (loudness)
of the voice but also you can remove background undesireable voice. I am using
Adobe Audition to do these functions. Simply go to the efffects menu and select
noise reduction. First you should select only that part of the audio file which
has noise and then select Capture noise reduction profile(this is called
selecting noise profile). Then select entire file and click OK. entire file
will be cleared from the noise. Similiarly you can use other functions to
increase the volume. Incase of any difficulty if you could send audio file to
my email account, i will do it for you.(Muhammad)- [EMAIL PROTECTED]

+0000Subject: [AP] need help with poor audio

My problems are usually a lost cause, but maybe someone has some help for me.I
shot an interview with an artist at an art center recently. I was told that it
would be a sitdown with the artist and the interviewer, so I just brought my
camcorder with the built-in microphone. It turned out that the artist was
walking around his art piece, sometimes as far away as thirty feet from the
camera and the space had lots of background noise, mostly heating system hum
(roar?) and some echoing. The artist was soft spoken and did not speak very
clearly. When I cranked up the audio in Premiere Pro CS3 the artits's words were
understandable, but the background noise made the whole thing unacceptable. So,
I reshot the whole interview with a clip-on mic for the artist and a shotgun
mic for insurance. The audio in the second session is perfect. The words are
clear and there's no background noise at all. But the performance sucks... the
first session was great except for the poor audio... the second session is just
not worth presenting.Do you have any ideas how to amplify the audio from the
first session and filter out the noise? Or any suggestions how to use the video
from the first session and try to voice-over (not try to dub)the
narration?Thank you.
