I am not familiar with Premiere Elements but in Premiere Pro in the capture
window there is an otion to check for scene detect which creates a separate
clip for each time the video recording was stopped and restarted. I would
think there is the same or similar in Elements. Look for something labeled
"scene detect" or look it up in the help menu.

Richard

Subject: [AP] storybook capture in elements 4

Hi
I'm new here. I'm 67, married, 5 kids/adults now, living in Michigan.
I've got a problem and it has already cost me lot's of money buying
worthless books.
I have Adobe premiere elements 4.
When capturing from my Cannon hv20 I get a screen that just tells me
it's copying. It's in various languges. I bring this up because the
first time I captured it worked great.
Meaning I saw the video as it was captured and, being in a hurry, I
just went to the story board and deleated scenes. It was fast fun and
quick.

Now I just get one solid captured video. It isn't broke down in scenes.

I know I can work in timeline but it takes longer and the laxt time I
used it I lost control of my video. But that is another question for
next time.
Thanks for any help, and I don't know why it is not advertised as,
harder then nails to learn.

Help help help
