Taky, Not sure regarding a conflict. The software is not pirated and I do not have Nero in my PC.
Since I am new with HDV, can you please explain how to import the M2Ts. (Is there a difference between M2T and M2Ts?) When I import the M2Ts file that is located in the Streaming folder of my CD, it gave me an error message of "unsupported format or damaged file". Is there any settings in Premiere that I need to set up or turn on?I checked Adobe's website and it actually did not include M2T as an imported file, yet the comment string after had comments regarding M2T as missing. However, an Adobe rep stated in one of the comments that it does support M2T. Here's the link: http://tinyurl.com/47ryak Does my CD drive need to be blue ray or HD? I have a Philips DVD+-RW SDVD8820 drive. I also set up my new project settings in HDV 1080i. If yours can't, there might be some comflict in the system or you are using a pirated version of Premiere. Try remove Nero Recode too if you have it in your system. You may want to convert the files using Cineform, which is pricey at $500 new but can be found on E-Bay between $50 and $150 dollars and has excellent results. Be sure to install it properly, I had a friend who was using this to edit his movie and an improper install shut him down for over 2 weeks while he explored why Premiere continued to crash on him. There is also the Matrox codec, which I use out of necessity (I have a full Matrox system) but can be used on systems that don't have the Matrox hardware installed to increase render speed. I don't know how much these codecs run but they look great as well.
