My apologies Adriane. My response was not relevant to your Camera model.
I assumed the HV40 was similar to mine...In any case, capturing thru firewire
into Premiere Capture, allows viewing of DV in Capture window but NOT HDV. I
guess you use 3rd party capture program as wise heads have suggested ? Kelvin
