Uwe writes "I know a few people who had CS3 and it has given them
trouble. CS4 is not perfect but with SD and HDV it worked very well
for me, so go for it. If you want to edit AVCHD you should get CS5 but
then you will surely need a new computer as well."
I used to have CS3 installed on the laptop and it worked fine. I'm
mostly just wanting to get the thing back up and running -- CS3 works
okay for my projects.
I DO happen to have a copy of CS4, which I am planning to install on
Some Future Computer. I don't really have another thousand bucks to
drop for CS5.
And besides, my issue is mostly with the Installer app. If the
Installer app for CS4 is the same as CS3, then I'll have the same
trouble installing it. I was just trying to find out.
But (shrug) I have a free night, so I think what I'll do is just try
to install CS4 anyway and see if it works. I REALLY need to get back
to work!
Cheers,
Edward
