30fps implies Progressive whereas 29.97 implies Interlaced. The thought that
pops in my mind is this: Is this merely a play-back jerk that is cured by
Sequence > Render Entire Work Area, and also, does Sequence > Sequence
Settings show the proper timebase and Video etc. parameters? If not, what
happens upon creating a new sequence with the proper settings? Just some
questions.

Subject: [AP] Premier Pro CS4 Import problem
I was given three *.wmv files for editing. All three go herky-jerky when
playing suggesting the frame rates are an issue? Anyways, clearly not
acceptable. I noticed that when I used g-spot the .wmv files show 30fps
while the PP CCS4 shows 29.97 fps as the default setup.
I'm lost!
I have AVS video converter, version 6 and have tried numerous variations
from the .wmv (.mpg, .avi, etc)but PP always ends up saying "can't read the
file or damaged format." Something to that effect. What am I missing here?
