The big issue on the Canon XA10 is just how real the 30p is. It's 
stored as 60i data and I'm not sure how accurately it's turned into 
30p -- if each frame is completely free of time-shifted fields. I'll 
have to experiment to find out once my copy of Premiere CS 5.5 shows up.

The XA10's 24p is the real progressive deal: each frame is stored as 
24p data with no fields in each frame.
