The 'container' (CoDec) your camera uses for video output will still output
24/25/30/60 fps, regardless of the actual camera fps setting, using a
multiple of the outputted frame rate (in theory) 'should' eliminate blur or
flicker, depending on your needs....
Then of course, you US guys have dropframe for a variety of reasons.

Most modern displays and TV's seem to handle just about anything thrown at
them however.

I know todays camera's are good at mangling higher frame rates (E.G. sport
settings), into smaller ones for the output video, but trying to divide say
200 fps into 24 doesn't exactly look pretty on paper.
