Yes they do, you're right. I was thinking that 
the plug could be a line plug but the signal 
level is still that of a mike of course. The 
Beachtek comes with two cables; one to use to 
mini-stereo plug and one to use to mini-mini 
stereo plug. So one has a tiny plug and the other 
one has a very tiny plug :-)  I'll check if the 
DR100 has plugs for this when I'm near it, later today.

Also Juicedlink makes similar boxes which are 
quite cheaper and they seem to be as good as the 
Beachteks. I found a very good deal on the 
Beachtek on eBay otherwise I would have bought a Juicedlink.
