I've even noticed that downloading files from the JVC camera's always result
in the Windows directory and Bridge showing 'date', 'created', and
'modified' date/time fields with the time of the video shoot, whereas with
the Canon it varies:, Bridge shows Date Created of the shoot and Date
Modified of the download, but Windows shows all date/times of the download.
Except that for jpg's it is different: the Windows 'Date' field with the
Canon (which is a DSLR) is the time the photo was taken.
So some of the discrepancies might depend on the camera programmers and some
on the download software. Windows probably unconditionally reads only the
NTFS file header whereas Bridge might also read EXIF data.
Very confusing!!!

2. Is there any way to view the embedded metadata in the imported
.mts files? Bridge will show the date the clip was shot (it displays
it as "date modified," which is confusing), but Premiere Pro won't
show that information. I ask because if the metadata would show up
along with the file, it would make sorting through clips easier.
