You could use Windows Movie Maker, and it would be fairly simple.   Just
import each image and assign a duration to it.  Use transitions as you
wish, but I think it's always best to keep those very simple.  This is a
matter minutes,  Getting your voice into the presentation can be a bit
harder, but there are many options there.  Any decent USB microphone can
record into Audacity (which is free) or you can use a portable recorder.
Then it's just a matter of importing the audio track.  The sound of such a
presentation is very critical and deserves some time.  There are many
videos on YouTube that can show you how to do it.  Feel free to
respond back and I can answer any questions you might have.

There are many software packages you can use, but I would give WMM a go and
see if you are happy with the results.  Here's an example of what I think
you are trying to do...I'm not sure which software package I used for it.
 Probably ProShow Gold.
