I had to update my BIOS several times before I stopped seeing that message, but I was using OCZ SSD's throughout and the latest GTX680, which both also needed an update (SSD's as well) before everything played ball. (OCZ supply an ISO you burn to CD to update their SSD's, if you don't want to connect to the 'net.)
