The purpose of our alpha releases is to raise attention, so that's what I'd like to focus on over the next week or so.
I've already posted updates at some Linux/OSS centric sites: - http://forum.freegamedev.net/index.php?t=tree&th=777&S=5b595de47b9f9f7cd5a38e8c85c54007#page_top - http://happypenguin.org/forums/viewtopic.php?p=22461#22461 Once I have Windows binaries ready (it's actually compiled and packaged, but I haven't yet had a chance to include the latest README, AUTHORS, etc. files) I'll post the same to one or two additional places that might be frequented mostly by Windows people. I guess the same is true for Artist forums, such as those listed here http://wiki.freegamedev.net/index.php/Artist_communities So I'll hold off with posting until I have the binaries and until I can actually spend some time on IRC and monitor those forums, so I'm not missing any replies or private messages (yuck). This brief delay gives us the opportunity to think about what to post there. Most of the artist forums seem to have categories for paid and unpaid work, so I guess it might be non-trivial to motivate people to contribute to Adonthell when we are competing against offers with monetary compensation. So we could use some arguments of our own. What I thought of so far: * No obligations * Creative freedom * Friendly atmosphere * Improvement of skills Anything else?
