Tape library sharing

Just a note:
The topic of tape library sharing is nicely addressed in the Redpaper
"Tivoli Storage Manager SAN Tape Library Sharing".
SAN technology facilitates the sharing of libraries controlled via
SCSI communication.  But, alas, the 3494 is not one of those, and so
at least at this time, sharing a 3494 is via more traditional means.
Searching on "library sharing" at http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/
shows that a new redbook on TSM and SANs is in the works.
