I reported this defect here months ago. Unfortunately I do not think
it was fixed in 3.7.3.0 either!
As somebody has suggested, set your mountretension to 0.

Hi *SM-ers,
on our new 3494 I have defined Mount Retention: 10 minutes.
When I do a COPY STGPOOL and TSM needs a second input
tape the previously mounted tape remains in status IDLE for 10
minutes before it is unmounted and the second input tape is mounted.
I always thought that TSM would dismount an IDLE tape - even when
the Mount Retention period has not expired - when there are no free
mount points available.
Should I set Mount Retention to 1 or 2 minutes or is there another
way to circumvent this problem?
