When asked when the restore of Inactive System Objects would be supported,
Tricia Jiang from Tivoli (at the International Storage Systems Symposium)
replied "Never".
I guess I will have to rely on Microsoft Backup for this feature??

Yes. This is consistent with what has been provided for registry, event log
and
RSM system objects for as long as they have been in the product (many years
in
the case of registry).
