I have seen that before. Try doing the update devclass command with
format=3590e-c and I believe that should still work even though it
is not listed under the help update devclass cmd.

Subject: 3590 Tape Compression

Hi -

We've upgraded our 3590B tape drives to 3590E's. I upgraded our software
levels for the first time to adsm 3.1.2.50 for the server. Downloaded and
installed U468792, U468793 and U468794. I also upgraded the client and
webclient. When I look at my devclass definitions on the web, I don't see
a selection for 3590E-C tape format. Anyone know what I'm missing? We
want to turn on compression. I know specifying DRIVE should do this, but
I'm afraid I'm missing something here since the 3590E-C isn't showing up.
