Hi!

Here is an abbreviated version of a stanza if you want to see what they look
like. Basically, I have two different node names, one for the standard
client and one for the DB2 client. I have the dsm.sys file in the
/usr/tivoli/tsm/client/api/bin directory linked to the dsm.sys in the
/usr/tivoli/tsm/client/ba/bin directory. This is so that you only have to
change the file in one location. The dsm.opt in the
/usr/tivoli/tsm/client/ba/bin directory points to servername 'tsma2' and
uses those parameters for the dsm.sys. The dsm.opt in the
/usr/tivoli/tsm/client/api/bin directory points to servername 'db2_backup'
and uses those parameters in the dsm.sys. This allows me to have the
different nodename for the DB2 clients.

This is a common way to set it up when using any of the agents or API so it
allows use of different nodenames.

I hope this helps some in understanding stanza's.

Subject: Stanzas

Hi all.

A simple question.

Where can I find information about stanzas? (How to create them and how
to use them).

I'm searching in any handbook and redbook that I have but I only found a
few mentions, but not conclusive info.

Thanks to everybody.
