default mgmt class in existing backups

Folks,

one of our nodes was defined with the wrong Default Mgmt Class in it's policy
set. Now my questions:

- i corrected the def. mgmt class - does this have effect on the existing
backups which have _default_
  as mgmt class?

- is it possible to change the existing backups' mgmt class to a certain one
(maybe with SQL stmt)?
