Hi Michael!
Do you have an URL which points to an end of service statement about AIX 4.1
and 4.2?
This would certainly strengthen my case!
Kindest regards,
Eric van Loon

Eric,

Do your customers know that AIX 4.1 and 4.2 are also unsupported? Why worry
about the ADSM/TSM client if the OS running underneath has the same
problem??? I'd really recommend your customers to investigate their
migration to AIX 4.3. ASAP. BTW: if your customer wants new HW (systems,
disks, adapters etc.) he has to use AIX 4.3 because many of the new boxes
need the latest version of the OS.

Hi *SM-ers!
I have a bit of a problem. TSM does not support AIX 4.1 and 4.2 machines.
The end of service date for ADSM clients is said to be January 31 2001.
So, after this date my customers are using unsupported software! I cannot
force my customers to upgrade their AIX software to 4.3.
How do other TSM sites handle this issue?
Thank you very much for your reply in advance!
Kindest regards,
Eric van Loon
