Winfried - Yes, we are in agreement.  You need to look at the Estimated
           Capacity value when the volume becomes full to know how many
bytes TSM wrote to the tape drive(s) in filling the tape, and compare
that against the byte sent from the client which used compression.
If your average for full tapes (not Filling) is 24 GB for 3590E that
are not extended length tapes, then you are getting some 4GB extra
compression from the tape drive in addition to the client compression
values obtained from client stats.
