Hello,
concerning "out of office" replies I disagree with those who suggested
that we should SET NOMAIL if we are on holiday. I would like to adress
this problem to the maintainer of this list. There are two possible
solutions:
First, the listserver could be configured to set the mal header field
Precedence: bulk
wich tells auto responders not to reply. (Microsoft Exchange Server 4.0
needs a fix in order to work correctly in this respect:
http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q136/7/86.asp?LN=EN-
US&SD=gn&FR=0 )
A second more failsafe but less user friendly approach is to set the
"Reply-To" field to the author's address instead of the list address. The
disadvantage here is that you have to copy the "From" address to your
"To" field if you want to reply to the list.
I suggest to try the first solution, first.
Kind Regards,
Michael Bruewer
