Hi,
The costumer has a 3575 library with 2 low densitry 3570 drives. Rcently bought 2 more
high density drives and wanted to use the within the same library. I checked their
configuration and found out that there was only one storage pool defined. As far as I
know, it is not possible to mix different density drives within a single storage pool.
The client is using an Network Storage Manager with ADSM 3.1.2.40 on an AIX and want
to migrate to TSM 4.1. Two questions:
Does anybody know if this storage pool restriction is also valid for TSM 41?
If standarizing drives density, will there be any problem for the drives to acces
tapes used by a lower/higher density drive in the past?

Thanks in advance,
Regards
