Dear Netlanders ,

i am just about to install 4.1.1 Clients on different platforms
and occasionly I realized a severe problem and I wonder
if this is a known Problem or I am the only one ...

Server: 3.1.2.40 adsm
Client Tru64 Unix 4.0F / advfs -Filesystem

My action was an Update on the ClientSoftware
from adsm3.1.08 to tsm 4.1.1 the daily incremental
was running the night before and the files on this system
normally won't change at all so the last incremental
on Version 3.1.08 has done 0 Files backed-up.

After removing the Client and installing the new one
I tried an incremental with ,dsmc inc' and I
realized that all Files are backed up *again*
So all files are doubled in the backup - without
changing anything on the files.
(the Standard Versions on this Client is
        Versions Data Exists...: 5 version(s)
        Versions Data Deleted..: 2 version(s) )

Cause there is normally no change on the files on this cients
I can query any File and get two entries on the same file.

like...
tsm-client$ dsmc q backup -inactive
/flocal/lpdfailover/filters/hp650c.c
...
Size Backup Date Mgmt Class A/I File
             ---- ----------- ---------- --- ----
            3,958 10/23/00 17:07:57 DEFAULT A
/flocal/lpdfailover/filters/hp650c.c
            3,958 10/07/00 04:23:49 DEFAULT I
/flocal/lpdfailover/filters/hp650c.c

on the server
adsm> q occup pythia

adsm>
... where 2884 Files are exactly the double of the files being backed
up
with the first incremental on 4.1.1 ... where 1442 Files have been
backed up
...

... Someone else got this problem ?
Can I check such Doubles with any tool ? and maybe remove them ?

..... the next Incrementals are running smooth and there is no
more Version on the Server - just the new/changed one

Thanks in advance for any hints/help !
