What software are you using as software for the online backup? We are using
SQL Backtrack and TDP for SAP. With SQL Backtrack we use a cron job to run
the backups and that is maintained by the DBA's. With TDP we use the SAP
scheduler to do the backup and that is maintained by the Basis team.
According to one of our Basis guys you would have to set up 7 different jobs
unless you do something with profiles.
That is what we do...

Anyone experienced at this? I have this scenario. SAP team wants an online
backup each night at midnight. This will happen Sunday through Friday. SAP
team wants an offline backup on Saturday at midnight. O.K., not too bad.
So, I read the manual(s) on defining schedules and am puzzling over the best
way to do the Sunday through Friday backup. Is there a better way than
defining six (6) backup schedules for these days?
