Some approaches to that might be to use Devclass FILE for smaller nodes, and
then capture multiple such files on non-*SM tapes.  Or, if you happen to have
some lesser tape drives with lower capacity or cheaper media (e.g., 8mm), you
could use that instead of premium technology (expensive) tapes.
