Most of the discussion that I've seen around LAN-Free backups at this stage
in the game has been regarding backup to tape using a shared library.  Is
there any possibility of LAN-Free backup to disk if the disk is on the SAN
(e.g. TSM server and SAN-enabled client both have disk space allocated on a
SAN-attached ESS or MSS)?

If this is a possible "future" feature, where does it fall in the plans to
roll out new SAN features?  Not looking for any hard dates, just an idea of
where this might fit in with everything else.
