Excuse me but from what I understand there is NO Exchange backup api that
will do brick level backups. Products that do brick level backups are using
MAPI calls which are NOT Exchange calls. They are left overs from Microsoft
Mail. So keep your FUD to yourself!

 please no FUD. our Exchange backup solution, whether the Backup.Exec or
NetBackup, is certified by Microsoft and has passed the Microsoft
BackOffice,
Windows 2000 Server & Advanced Server certification tests. it uses the
Microsoft
Exchange backup API, introduced with Ms Exchange 5.0.
