Hi, I am new in ADSM-L group. My first post. Hope it's ok when I give you a tip. Most common with not accepted scratch tapes is that the format type in the device-class definition does not match with the tapes used. If you defined your device class with format=drives the tape type must match the drive type. If not the scratch tapes are not acknowledged. Especially when you use mixed tape types (e.g. LTO5 and LTO7 in one library) in your library you can not define your devc with format=drive.
Question your TSM-server: h 3.16.11.10 and follow the guidelines for the format parameter when defining the devc.
