>From my observations, I believe that TSM tries to place each user
file on a single disk volume. Thus, it you have only one backup
process running, TSM will write to only one disk. If you have two
backups running, then there is a good probability that TSM will
write the first user's file to disk 1, and the the second user's file to
disk2.
TSM also appears to place equal amounts of data on each disk
volume. Thus, if you have only one backup process running and
the files are all about the same size, you will observe that the first
file will go to disk 1, the second file to disk 2, the third file to disk
1, and so on.
