I install a LTO 3581 on my server (TSM 4.1.3).
After I finished configuration about LTO 3581, I try to label Tape.
After I finished labeling tape , I can't see it in the volume library ( I
use q libvol command)
I have to execute another command : CHECKIN libvol lb4.0.0.5 search=yes
status=scratch
to make TSM server check in the tapes , so I can execute q libvol command to
see the volumes.
I have two questions:
1. Can TSM server use the tape If I don't check it in or I can't see it in
the volume library ?
2. I use the web-browse to label my tape, and I choose the search option
when I label the tape .
I see the CHECKIN libvol lb4.0.0.5 search=yes status=scratch in the
active log
and I got the error message to warn me that I can't use search option
here.
I can execute the same command successfully in the command window .
It confused me by the same command and I got different results.
