I don't think it will work, but it is close.
Don't edit the disklog, instead do a '/format' step.
If you are using grs in your sysplex (I don't know how you could
run a sysplex and not use grs), when you start the new instance it will
try to allocate the disk pool volumes but will fail because the production server
has them allocate 'disp=old'.
I will send you sample jcl directly.
