Our network exists of several IP-domains, seperated by firewalls. A lot of
NT servers suffer from the well-known Open File backup problem (e.g.
NTUSER.DAT and IIS files). IBM/Tivoli recommended St. Bernard. We have done
a test, and were surprised by the fact that it could only communicate via
NetBIOS. From a security standpoint NetBIOS has not been installed. By the
way: NetBIOS through a firewall is out of the question. Alternative is to
make all NT servers St.Bernards master-console. Drawbacks of that solution
is the enormous browser-traffic and control and maintenance in general.

Question: Has anyone else struggled with this issue and found a practical
compromise?
