Well, I just been informed by support that Oracle 8.1.7 is only supported
on v2.2. The documentation for v2.1.10 it says it will support 8.1.5. The
Redbook SG24-624900 Oracle Backup Solutions for TSM (May 2001) has
all of the screen captures (e.g. see pg 61, very beginning of Chapter 5)
show that TDPO v2.1.10 is being used with Oracle 8.1.7.
I asked support "If ONLY v2.2 will work with 8.1.7, why does the Redbook
show that the 2.1.10 is working on version 8.1.7?"
The answer I got was "I cannot explain the descrepancy in the redbook other than
that we
do not support redbooks, only Tivoli documentation."
