Is there anywhere that I can find the technical details on how SUBFILE works? For example.. - what does it use the local cache for? - if I have 20GB of backup data, how does it use the 10MB cache area? - what if I delete the local cache? - does TSM always backup the differences, or is it smart enough to say this difference file is 50% (for example) of the original so I'll back it all up! - does it do a full backup every now again anyway? - should compression and subfile be used together?
