You have to delete every expired directory manually.. joking....
I also experienced Expiration problem. I initiated expiration processing
manually with "Expi i Q=y sk=y" and it completed within 3 days which reduced
DB size by 15%. This happened because we changed backup polices from 3
active versions to 2 vers. Next time(4th day) I enabled expiration process
from admin schedule with "expi i du=180" and it processed directories and
files within 3 hrs.

Running expiration , we were having problems with it hanging up and not
finishing. I added skidirs=yes and EX. started running fine and deleting
thousands of archive objects and backup objects. Has not hung since. My
question is what is going on with the directories , I assume that it is not
deleting, and how do I now delete them?
