You tell us, you only have 1 client, so it is not a collocation problem...

Have you looked deeper into your tapes ?
Some of them could be in readonly mode ? Check the last time you write
something to your tapes .

TSM > select volume_name,stgpool_name,date(last_write_date) as WRITE_DATE
from volumes where devclass_name != 'DISK'

You can also check the access_mode of your tapes :


TSM > select volume_name,stgpool_name,access volumes where devclass_name !=
'DISK'

What is your REUSEDELAY parameter ?
