Hi,
I've done as you all recommended..
dsmserv unloaddb devc=devc_backupdb
(it was backup to /local/export as in devc_backupdb and it generate file
name by itself...which I need to get from unix level for load command)
dsmserv loadformat 1 /local/dat01/adsm.new/logvol01 1
/local/dat00/adsm.new/dbvol01
dsmserv loaddb devc=devc_backupdb vol=/local/export/02270763.dmp (if didn't
put the vol=... it can't loaddb..error show needs to put )
But I've got error ( not sure error or warning) as shown below...Is this ok?
I unload from a lot of dbvol and logvol then load to a big dbvol and
logvol...
And another question is why dumpdb doesn't work.. even I dsmfmt the
newdb to be biggersize(from 33xx to 45xx)during that time it still show that
92% reach...94%...96...98%.... Then fail....which the data entries just not
half way yet..but now I dsmfmt only 3500 and it's seems to be ok...
Can anybody explain this. please?...

Hi robert,
Are u using Shared - library or mannual ? however, if u try creating
sequetial device class 'FILE' in disk and try to unload db using the said
device class , you may find the unloaddb may not distrub you any more. try
doing this.
-------------------
1)define a device class - FILE type
2) dsmserv unloaddb devclass=????????
3) dsmserv loadformat 1 logfile 1 dbfile
4) dsmserv loaddb devclass=?????????
make sure that you have volhistory file backedup before doing this.
Hope this helps
regards
sreekumar.

Subject: Error on UNLOADDB process
Hi to all
I run a dsmserv unloaddb devclass=scalarclass scratch=yes and received this
message:
ANR4013I UNLOADDB: Dumped 7324392 database entries (cumulative).
ANR9999D sminit.c(440): SM failed to Initialize - Time Out.
ANR9999D mmsshr.c(301): Time Out waiting for session manager
initialization.
ANR1361I Output volume 000029 closed.
ANR4013I UNLOADDB: Copied 807684 database pages.
ANR4013I UNLOADDB: Copied 728 bit vectors.
ANR4013I UNLOADDB: Encountered 0 bad database pages.
ANR4013I UNLOADDB: Copied 31351842 database entries.
ANR4013I UNLOADDB: 2011 Megabytes copied.
ANR4013I UNLOADDB: Process 0, database dump has completed.
ANR4013I UNLOADDB: database update activity resumed.
ANR4013I UNLOADDB: Volume 1 written by process is 000029.
Did the UNLOADDB process really succeed even though we got ANR9999D
message ????. And the VOLHIST.FILE was corrupted at the end of the process
we didn't get any information about the DBDUMP volume. We had before the
process a database size of 830,593 database pages and 3643392 database
entries.
We didn't continue with dsmserv loadformat just return to the original
database.
Does anybody have an experience with this problem.
