You could also use a filetext receiver to create the output log file, although the output format is a little annoying. This would allow you to select what messages were sent to ITO.

Hi Peter
Here's how we've done it.
On the TSM server - in our case AIX - ITOs OPC agent is installed.
On the same server we run
dsmadmc -id=xxxx -passw=xxxxx -console > /tmp/dsm.log
In ITO we defined a log monitor that monitors the /tmp/dsm.log on the TSM
server
And now you are able to define msgs in ITO Message Template section.

Emne: ITO alarms and TSM error messages
We would like to setup an error message monitoring process that sends
alarms
to the Helpdesk for a select group of error messages, as they occur, in the
Solaris TSM Server Activity Log. We normally use ITO for this kind of
thing.
How can we get a non-TSM error message monitor to "listen in" on the TSM
Server for messages to report -- as they occur? Any ideas or advice would
be
most welcome!
Thanks, in advance.
